The studio

Seravalle Studios is an independent creative production company based in the Dominican Republic, dedicated to telling powerful, original stories through both 2D animation and live-action film. Our mission is to grow the creative industries locally, empower new talent, and connect with audiences globally through bold, visually compelling narratives.

2D animation

We specialize in 2D animation, combining traditional hand-drawn techniques with digital workflows to preserve the unique character of each project. Our team of passionate artists and animators is fully dedicated to developing and producing original, in-house animated films that showcase distinct visual styles and emotional depth.

  • Producing and co-producing original 2D animated films based on our own stories.
  • Production design, pipelining, and execution of 2D animation through a fully developed creative team.
  • Creating and selling collectible artwork inspired by our animated films, helping to fund future projects and celebrate traditional artistry.

Live action

We produce and co-produce live-action short and feature films, often integrating 2D animation as a narrative or visual tool. Our live-action work is designed to expand our reach, engage diverse audiences, and continue sparking the conversations that matter most to us.

While each project may vary in form, our top priority across all formats is storytelling, thoughtful, emotionally resonant, and rooted in strong artistic vision. Whether animated or live action, our films are created to move people, start dialogue, and leave a lasting impact.

Roberta Seravalle

Founder and producer

Roberta Seravalle is a Dominican artist, actress, and filmmaker, and the founder and producer at Seravalle Animation Studios. With a background in fine arts, illustration, and performance, she studied at Chavón La Escuela de Diseño and The Barrow Group Performing Arts Center in New York. Before launching her own studio, Roberta worked in the art departments of various international film productions, including The Lost City (2022) and Road House (2024), gaining hands-on experience in scenic painting and set design. These experiences deepened her passion for visual storytelling and craftsmanship.

Through Seravalle Animation Studios, she now leads the development of original 2D animated films that blend traditional and digital techniques. Roberta is committed to growing the animation industry in the Dominican Republic and empowering local artists to bring unique stories to life for global audiences.
